From the Letterkenny Local:
Dan Monn, one of our union members/firefighter, was involved in a serious MVA on Tuesday morning Nov. 25th when the vehicle he was driving hit black ice. The MVA occurred in West Virginia while he was there on a hunting trip. He sustained several major injuries and had to have emergency surgery performed. He was in the ICU/Critical Care Unit of the Hopsital in Winchester VA. Yesterday he was moved to the surgical recovery ward but is facing a long road to recovery. I will know more in the days that follow but the plan for now is once he is well enough to do so, for him to be transported to Chambersburg Hospital for the rest of his recovery. Dan had previously worked as a DOD FF at NDW. Anyone requesting more information should contact the fire station here at Letterkenny.
Please keep Dan and his family in your prayers.
