Wow! Nice duty vehicle. If your going to command the big ones you have to have all the tools.

really all you need is the lights, sirens and some intelligence no pun intended. That is why departments have guidelines for Officers.

So spongebob, where do you get your information? Ya know it's not polite to make UNTRUE statements on this site and your statements couldn't be further from the truth? I would say either play nice and tell the truth or don't play at all!!!!!!!

Mr. Mason: As i read your comments I am compelled to ask. Are you saying that you think that the folks over at 5 do not have any standards for their officers and or any common sense? There can be many different views taken from your comments so I was just curious. By the way, I see on their website today that pictures have appeared of this vehicle, it looks very nice.

Hello: From what I know, the duty oficer for that week keeps the vehicle with him at his residence and responds to the calls during his week. The criteria is, if he is available to respond to a call, he takes the duty vehicle but if he is not available to respond to a call, the vehicle sits. Which is a good idea considering the cost of gas these days. The 4 elected fire officers are the ones that drive the unit, they rotate on a week to week basis. I hope that was as clear as mud, lol.

Maytag: Just so you know, I sent darescuesquad a PRIVATE message asking just this, to let it go. I have NEVER antagonized anyone on this site and I play by the rules. Sometimes you have to say what needs said and go from there and that's what I did. I agree the comments bordered on BS but if he would take heed to advice, it wouldn't get that far. I just as you have done in the past, have a right to defend myself against harsh comments and this is what I did. Have a great day.
(He sure as heck ain't my boy !!!!!!)
