WELL for 1 the BOD had a problem with Chief Thomas. 2nd Scott Bradnick hasn't been around the firehouse with the exception of over the past couple of months cause of election time and people kiss his behind.
My only thing is I think it is really funny that the DFC Wagaman has been an officer for a couple of years and they put Bradnick I think that would be a slap in the face to me.

people who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones. did you ever think that maybe that chief bradnick never came around was due to all the political garbage, and just didn't want to be a part of the political games. and what about chief bradnick being qualified for the position, did anybody ever think of that either? i am one for change, and you know maybe chief bradnick might be good for the department, you never know, but you need to support him just like every one else that came up through the ranks. he might just surprise you, with different ides, thoughts, and the so forth. having a fire chief, thats been around for a while, 5-15 years, sometiimes, a individual becomes close minded and unwilling to work with the new guys, just because they are so set in their ways. to everyone out there, who thinks the chief isn't going to work out to a hill of beans, get off your high horse, get rid of your pride, and help those, not just bradnick, but to all the new officers, a hand, and extend it too.

Political garbage? From what i understand bradnick was hand picked by the b.o.d. after snyder and wagaman turned it down. Tell me that isn't something shady. It's sad to say that the b.o.d. has turned that dept in to something very close to da ville... And the last thing i heard was that the reason they wanted Mr. Thomas out was "becuase he had to many standards". Too many standards? Since when is a officer placing standards into effect or trying trained people on the fire trucks a reason to take someone out of office? well i'm done and will leave you with a quote. "You don't have to show up for training, but make sure you work your bingo!!!"(the B.O.D.) ....that make's alot of sense!!!!

to the adminstrators and the moderators that maintain these forums, i apoligize if my statements were of an agregious and unprofessional nature, but my intent was to make a general statement from the thread that i had read. to all administrators and volunteers alike, who run the local fire departments, who put forth a good effort combined, i apoligize. my intent was not to harm this department, but to put forth, growth within, not only as individuals but to the department. i have said my peace, if anyone wants to contact me, all you have to do is pm me, not hard to find.

Tower,
I don't think McCaffery meant you but to the poster who posted after McCaffery's can of woopasss post.
I agree with you 100% and agree change is hard but a necessary evil. All organizations go thru change and the good ones don't miss a beat.

Congratulations to Scott and all of the new officers at New Franklin!! Scott has been in the fire service for a long time and I know he will do an exceptional job!
But to the dismay of many people who might believe that Scott and the new officers were voted in by the department, they were not voted in. No voting was needed because they all ran uncontested! No one ran against them! Everyone who thought they might lose decided not to run at the last minute. That's how 17 got new officers.
