It started in 1969 Administrators were Crawford Weistling and Jim Cutchall First dispatcher was Ron Huber

It was located at the Junior Hose and Truck Company on 2nd Street, then moved to the Franklin County Court House Annex (Since Torn down) then moved to the Chambersburg Trust Company building while the present facilities were being built. Information: the first transmitter was located on center St (on top of the water tower) the West end Of Chambersburg. The problem was every time there was a dispatch it cleared the locals Television Sets. A 960 micro wave was installed connecting the courthouse with Clarks Knob the Highest point in the area (Just above Pleasant Hall) Company 11 Chief Robert Faust and Dale Kuhn were instrumental with the installation.
