Is the rumor TRUE that Chief Waterboots has resign at the Good Olde FVFD. Can anyone fill us in.

Hmmmm, maybe he got tired of making excuses for various "things",

like the chiefs responding to the scene when the apparatus is failing or,

his level of training or,

where the SOP's that were supposed to be done by the March company meeting or,

why the streets books aren't updated or,

why no-one applied for a Federal Grant this year (too busy was the one excuse given, DOING WHAT ) or,

why a LONG TIME Life Member that is a Board of Directors recently resigned or,

why was ALL of the water rescue, confined space rescue and about 90% of the rope rescue equipment was removed from the squad and placed in the Property Office or,

why none of the mutual aid departments were notified of the above equipment being removed (might be important since they run the squad on these types of calls) or,

well you get the picture !!!

How about a coherent response to this stuff from someone who has the facts? Disturbing to say the least, but the post is not surprising considering the level of competence I see from some of the posts I read on this message board. Please tell me true.......

Maytag (Squirrel, Bob, ex Chief) it will be interesting if what you say is true. If Chief Baumbaugh did quite, then Deputy Chief Monn will become the new Chief , will you bash him, trash him, pick apart everything that doesn't goes your way and post it here on the internet for the world to see like you did Chuck or will you grow up and help the community. For the last year or so you have been one of the biggest problems that Fayetteville has. If this web site was up during your time as Chief I wonder what kind of posting there would be about you. If you don't want to help then stop the kid games and leave the place alone.

This website was up and running when Bob was Chief. Yeah Bob might have not been the sharpest tool in the shed but at least he was qualified for the position. Waterboots is the biggest joke to the FVFD he has the EMS so screw it is not funny. He has gotten rid of pretty much of all the FT EMT with the exception of 1.

Beav, aka Beaver, aka Tom, aka has no clue to what has transpired at the FVFD over the last year and a half !!!!

First off, I have not been at the FVFD for just about one year now, April 19, 2007 at 1910 hours will be the one year anniversary since the "administration" violated the By-Laws and removed me as Chief and as a Life Member and to this date, I have NEVER been informed of what the charge(s) were. The Pres suggested that I be removed and the puppets on the Board abliged, knowing full well they didn't have the authority !!!

So, things not going my way has nothing to do with this AT ALL since I have not been actively involved in the FVFD for almost a year. I have wanted notghing more than to be able to help a dept that I dedicated 31 years of my life to.

This site was up and running during my tenure as Chief and there were postings asking about things that I did as Chief. I also addressed those postings and the reason I did was because I was not afraid to admit I made mistakes and because I was able to justify my actions. More than I can say for some others !!!!

You sir, have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA of what has happened at the FVFD recently, so you really have no right or room to critize me and others for trying to get the truth out.

How about the current President not allowing a legal motion, with a legal second requiring the Fire Chief to produce copies of his training certs to be called for a vote at tha last company meeting??? That is a blatant violation of the By-Laws, Roberts Rules of Order and the authority of the Pres.

In case ya didn't know, Roberts Rules states the Presiding officer (that would be the President) can NOT become actively involved in a debate on the floor, they MUST first excuse themselves as Presiding officer, move the floor and then and only then can they become involved in the debate.

It also states that after a motion and second have been made, the Presiding Officer asks if there are any questions or debate about the motion, if none, or once the questions-debate are over, the Presiding officer MUST call for a vote. Never happened, but then this is the same group that feels they can do whatever they want, however they want and when ever they want.

You want to talk about bashing, trashing or whatever you call it when you sure ain't got a freakin clue right now as what has transpired recently and had you been man enough to contact me, I would have more than gladly enlightened you, but I have to be honest and say that I feel you've had a hard on me for YEARS, so I could give a shit less what you think or have to say.

I post info here becuase the Board, well the vast majority that is sure doesn't seem to care, the township won't get involved and the membership can't seem to pull together enough votes to make change, so I MUST post it here. I do this because I know what that dept ONCE stood for.

I also live in this area and have family and friends that live in this area, so we have a damn good reason to be concerned and absolute frekain right to voice our opinions, concerns, complaineres, gripes, bashing, trashing or whatever the hell you want to call it and besides, last time I checked, this was still the good ole US of A where we have the right to free speech !!!!

If Bobby is moved up to Chief, I'll sure as hell respect him as Chief as he has the credentials and experience to do the job. I can not and will not support the present Fire Chief as he did not earn his position, it was awarded to him in a VERY questionable manner and more importantly, he can not produce ANY training certificates what so ever !!!

As the user "chief' stated, I may not have been the brightest person that served as Chief, but at least I was voted in appropriately and had the training (and then some) and experience for the job.

So in closing, I wish once again you would have been man enought to contact me to discuss this in person, but since you couldn't, I felt no other alternative than to respond as I did.

The Lagers are always cold and plentiful and the invite to come drink a few and read my records-documentation is open to all, so maybe then you'll really understand !!!

Well, I guess I got something started with my last question. Didn't know things were that "passionate" at 7 Hose. Christ Bob, if I would have known your anniversary was 19 April, I would have waited until then to fly back to the eastern mainland - Good La Gloria's and some of them Lager's you say you will supply....get 'em on ice complainer.......HA

In the old days, we would have just went out back and beat the shit out of each other, made up, and then got on with the real business at hand - being the best technical firefighters we could be.....and by anyone's standards, I think we accomplished that.....Back then, we knew Robert's Rule's existed, but on the rare ocassion we had to use them, it was to settle a vote on whether to give money to the C.V.V.F.A. for the upcoming parade, not to govern every little thing that came up. The little things were usually handled by the people in charge as part of the normal course of business. Also, we never questioned anyone's skill, because we were with them side-by-side taking the class, doing the weekly training, and then carrying-out the tasks when called upon. Those who excelled got promoted. Guess they don't have that capability at this point. Too bad. My hope is that they will get that back. Too much invested over the years to see things in disarray....Whatever, I'm old and retired. Just my two-cents and something to do as I travel this great country of ours...

I wounder what Chief James Cutchall would think about all this "CRAP" if he were alive today? I bet that he is just rolling over in his grave listening to all of the "stories"......... He was a good man and I bet this WOULD NOT be happening if he were still around..

Well I thought I'd share with the latest with the cyber world.

I recently recieved an e-mail from a Life Member of the FVFD, who by the way has not been active for about 20 years telling me that I have made the FVFD the laughing stock.

He also went on to say something about repercussions, not sure what that means or if it's some type of threat. I mean, what are they gonna do, take away my Life Membership, oh wait, they already did that !!!

But back to his comment that I have made the FVFD a laughing stock is itself laughable. How is it that I am held responsible for what the present officers are solely responsible for??

What I and others have been doing is simply posting the "activities" of the FVFD, which the public is entitled to know, after all, it's THEIR DEPARTMENT !!!!

Please, please, please explain this to me. And while you're at would someone for the love of Christ, once and for all,

PLEASE TELL ME AND THE REST OF THE WORLD WHAT BY-LAW, RULES & REGS, POLICY, etc THAT CAUSED ME TO BE REMOVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, we'll see if anyones man enough to post the actual reason, facts or whatever. I and some others know the facts and they will be known to all soon.

I see you are really scared about the FVFD. So here is my input for ya just sit back twist the cap and slowly drink away or better yet how about a 4 wheeler ride in the bush and a lager when we get in.

The FVFD is a joke and will continue to be till they get rid of the bone heads they have running the place into the ground.
