I know its been down for a while now. I got a "bug" on my computer and it goes down hill from there. It took me several weeks (about a week ago) to get a friend to come and fix it. It is finally running awesome again, but I don't currently have an internet service provider at home. I switched from Comcast to Dish Network and lost Comcast Internet. I'm getting service established again through wireless internet from a provider here in town in the next 2-3 weeks. At that point, it'll be back up and running again. ALSO, with that in mind. Fire channel 2 & 3 just works off my outside scanner antenna (not through one of the repeaters). I am re-routing my antenna line to my scanner which will increase the reception on Ch.2&3 for firegrounds, etc. Other than that, it's just a matter of "standing-by". Thanks for the inquiry. Gigs

OK, it's back up and running again. I will still have it down for a couple of minutes the next couple of days trying to get it fixed "right". I have the connection LAN going straight into my computer and can get it to work. I just need to figure out how to get it to get past the firewall for my wireless router that I normally used. BUT for now, IT'S ON. As before, there's about 30-60 second delay from when you hear it "real-time" to over net. GIGS www.shoutcast.com/directory/?s=Franklin+County&st=gs&l=25

Gigs, More then likely you need to configure your router to "forward" the port that Shoutcast is using to stream the audio. So basicly, you need to manually open the port in your wireless router to allow the network traffic out from your LAN to the WAN (Internet).
I believe the default port for Shoutcast is 8080. If you need help with this PM me. I'm sure though if you look at your routers documentation you can figure it out. It is pretty simple.

Hey Gig's
Thanks for posting this site. Now I can listen to Franklin fire while I am at work. Does this include channels 2 & 3 ?

Yes, it has Ch.1 (our Tac-1 operations) off the Mountain also monitoring Fire-1. It also has our Tac-2 operations monitoring Fire-4. It just has the straight Fire 2 & 3 receive only off my home scanner antenna.

Gig's is it possible to put this on Windows Media Player. I can't get southcast to work through AOL. Does anyone else have that problem?

FFEMS23,
If you have been trying to get on via Shout Cast in the past few days the link is bad.
Gigs, Shout Cast trys to connect to 66.60.239.220.8000 and it times out everytime you hit play.
Thanks
Bill

It should be back in service now. That's the only problem with having the service on your home personal computer. When you want to use the pieces, etc. if affects the broadcast. I needed my Linksys Wireless Modem for another detail. Anyway, its should be working again.

I've noticed that their seems to be about a 10 minute delay between the inital dispatch on fire 1 and the dispatch being herd on the live feed. Is this how the settings are set gigs and if so can that be cut down?
