Jon, was this a spur of the moment descion for co.9. i know i talk to j.rice everyday and he mentioned getting another rig, but that one was going to replace the big 9-9. So i guess your keeping those 2 and adding 9-7 ?? So is it in service yet?

This was not spur of the moment idea. Our run area is expected to grow from 35-50 percent in 5 years. With that, our ambulance dealer would only give us $11,000.00 for trade in. With both that said we decided to keep and run three BLS units. Some in the company do not think this is a good idea. I can not promise we can get all three out at same time but we can try. We can rotate them around say maybe every two weeks? We will have to work that out as we go. We do have a room problem but everyone has to find a solution to it. The Board,Fire and EMS HAS to work at it TOGETHER. Headquarters was to announce it was in service last night at 6:00. I faxed them all of the info.

Congratulations Jon!!!!!!! If I ever get to work out that way again, I'd love to ride & work in it. (Of course everyone knows I don't need that much head room ... lol)

I seen in today Public Opinion that it mentions that Co. 9 has ordered a new ambulance expected to be delivered in March.
Any info/specs on the new Ambulance? Is this replacing Ambulance 9-9?
