You could take it how you want. I'm not sure what your asking. If it is because of the dispatch error or because it was Co. 1 releated. If its the Co. 1 related issue, remember we cover both aspects of borough calls and ET calls because of our combined response responsibilities at the station. Is it supposed to be "sarcastic" slam against the communications center or not. Personally, I am sick and tired of some of the incompetent dispatches that get made. Especially with the sarcasm that some of the dispatchers give over the radio, when only to come back and "bite themselves" in their own mistakes. That topic though of discussion would not fall under this area.

I like it!
Filing complaints doesn't seem to work. Maybe a little embarrassment will help correct the constant mistakes. This was a great example of how Communications can get somebody killed. Errors like these are as great of threat to FF safety as improper safety gear, staffing and everything else we legitimately complain about. We have safety seminars for FF's, how about dispatchers?

BASHING??
Don't sweat it Cameron! Seen the Company 18 category lately?
First of all, everybody makes mistakes! That's just how it is because we are all human and imperfect. Mistakes are made by people and not by circumstances. Every company and organization has 'em walking around on two legs.
Second of all, speaking of the Company 18 category, (now that we're really off topic here) it looks like we have a message board war among the principals with the Company 18 category being the front line. (Even some of the two legged, "mistakes" are getting in on the feeding frenzy, RIGHT OPERATOR?) (Or whatever you are calling yourself these days.)
GIGS, set up a meeting with Jerry, Brian and Michelle and get it fixed. It's that simple. Let me know how you make out. Don't expect that the mistakes will stop. Let's concentrate on trying to improve the system and the people that we have. (Including some of the, "attitudes!")
