It's always appropriate to say thank you. I can't even begin to thank everyone enough for the expressions of kindness and support.
I know that you all are concerned. I will try to tell you what's happening.
Sue developed respiratory & cardiac arrest on Saturday Morning at 0200 Hours at the house. M.M.P.& W. Ambulance and Medic 203 responded. We were able to get develop a meaningful rhythm with pulses. Sue was conscious when we arrived at Waynesboro Hospital. The Emergency Department folks got her stabilized and we went to the I.C.U.
The Great Folks in the I.C.U. were able to stabilize her as best as could be done. On Sunday Night we knew we exhausted all of Waynesboro's resources. Cathy Kimmel and I decided that Hershey was our best option. It was fogged in. Nothing was flying. Neither, "the kitty," Stat, or the troopers. We loaded the MICU and started for Hershey. Sue remained stable during the trip. This was the longest ride I've ever taken.
The Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is an incredible place!!!!!! The cardiac/electrical aspects are stable. We now have to get her heart muscle stronger. The challenge now is getting her off the vent. That's pretty much where we are at this morning.
The list of people that I need to thank would fill up this board!!!!! I will get around to doing that. I don't want to leave anyone out! God Bless each and everyone of you who have helped us not only, "on the scene" but have made expressions of love and support. I don't know what I would do without each and everyone of you!
Thank you to my colleagues who continue with both of the Franklin County E.M.T. classes. All the students are extremely important because they will be the next generation of people saving lives. I will never forget you Les Bush, Jon Bender, Dr. Coda, Jeff Curfman, Dr. Degan, Cathy Kimmel, AND EVERYONE! The list is incredible!!
This is definitely, "touch and go." Writing to you helps me keep what little is left of my sanity.
Please Pray for Sue.
Thank you.
