Blue Ridge Fire & Rescue Training Division is hosting General Fire Service Rescue (FRES) a PA State Fire Academy and Harrisburg Area Community College. January 17,24,31 and Feb.7,2007 Thursday evenings at 1900 hours. THIS IS A FREE COURSE AND EVERYONE IS WELCOME ! This course endeavors to teach the basics of rescue operations. fire ground interior search and rescue, to identify methods of locating and transferring patients to a safe environment. It will do this by providing instruction in the use of SCBA, rope, ground ladders, and some technical rope rescue hardware. The program will provide information and instruction to utilize these tools to educate the prospective rescuer. Student must have full turn-out gear with SCBA. The starting date is postponed to Jan. 24,2008 - Due to instructor illness - I have pneumonia.... Totally out of service!
