I just noticed its not working and will fix it this afternoon / evening. I don't hardly ever "dial in" so never always know when its not working for maybe a day or two at a time when I check the computer at home and see its "down". Periodically though, I'll be taking it down, especially on some Sundays to use the modem somewhere else.

Gigs,
Have you given up on the live feed for Franklin County. It has been down over a week. I need my KGD 611 fix ;D

Yeah, last week I was on vacation to Ocean City and like to shut down the computer. Anyway, I have obtained a virus and its playing havoc on my computer with popups, etc. I may need to format the C drive and start over, but should have something corrected maybe this weekend. I am though looking at giving up my home internet connection (I can get a "free" wireless hotspot connection from to my house from the hotel across street), so I may save the Comcast fees and once in a while connect through this wireless "link" free feed. As for the scanner link, I am looking at hooking it up to the fire house computer and broadcasting it from there. Should have something completed this weekend. Stay tuned for KGD611 ;D

Are you going to put the live feed back up?

Thanks!

FYI.....Finally, I got the system back up and running (i'm doing a testing session while I verify all of the audio settings are set correct). I have it installed on a new computer, but for the most part, it should be complete and up and running again.
THANKS GIGS

No, actually its coming back real soon, better than ever. Before with the server that was used there was a delay of about a minute to minutes-and-a-half from the time it was said live until you heard it through the computer. I am switching to a different server through Microsoft and is in the testing phase at this time. There is now going to be a 8 to 9 SECOND delay. Much better. Be up soon with the new link address........

Bill, The scanner link is back up and, so far, running better than ever. The old server (shoutcast) was difficult to deal with sometimes because it would drop the link, had about a minute-and-a-half delay and was hard to access through certain computers because of firewalls, etc. The new link is up and is Windows Media based. It has about an 8 second delay (which is awesome for the internet). I can also access it from work computer meaning the firewall is minimal. Anyway, its up presently running, testing, and can be accessed through our website. www.friendshipfirecompany.comTHANKS
