It is with deep sadness and regret that I inform you that word has reached me early this morning regarding the passing of a great colleague and friend Jerry Flasher. Jerry is responsible for the many advances in our emergency communication system in Franklin County. He will be sorely missed and always remembered.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, December 4th, 2008 at the Giesel Funeral Home, 333 Fallingspring Road, Chambersburg, Pa. from 1900 hrs. to 2100 hrs.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 5th, 2008 at the South Mountain Bible Church, 11,275 South Mountain Road, South Mountain, Pa. at 1100 hrs.
Departments wishing to participate are asked to contact Susan Dutko at the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency at 717-264-2813.
A special thanks to all who have provided support and expressed condolences.

For some reason I could not get into my account so I had to create another one. I would like to offer my thoughts and prayers to Jerry's family. I have talked to Jerry on a couple of occasions and he was always a person that would be upbeat and happy and was always helpful. I do not think I talked with him once and saw he was unhappy.
You will be missed Jerry.

I can recall a flooding incident in the Red Bridge trailer park during the late 1990's...before I moved away from Franklin County...when Mr. Flasher responded, representing the EMA.
I send my condolences and best wishes to Jerry's family...this just reminds me how our time on earth is short, and shoud never be taken for granted.
