Department Reports:
Co. 1 - Getting bids on new ambulance – Road Rescue, Horton and PL Custom. Patient vs Victim discussion
Co. 17-No report
Co. 11 – Placed 2 power stretchers in service one with EMSOF and state grant
Co. 3 – Placed 2 power stretchers in service one with EMSOF and state grant. Carnival July 13-18th. Training sometime in august
Co. 4 – Chicken BBQ this weekend at Lowes
Co. 12- Chicken BBQ this Saturday
Co. 18 – covering race every week, EMTs being paid for time
Co. 100 – 3 new sprinter wheel chair vans
Co. 200 – ordered new chase vehicle, National Registry recert in November 9-13th

Education – PSIM training coming in the future

NREMT testing @ HACC Sat June 13th.
Had over 100 participants in 12 lead EKG class, next class Apr of 2010.
Down 2 positions at EHSF.
EMS Week – picnic today, Weds manager’s breakfast, 25 year awards Thursday and baseball game Friday.
Please review operations plan and be prepared for future flu outbreaks.

FCFCA – discussion on county radio project.

Pre Hospital Operations Committee (EHSF) –
Reviewed mission and vision of committee.
Recruitment and retention
FCESA – Tower site all done. Now need make decision whether to go with the current digital system or change to a digital trunking system. If you purchased radios that are P25 compliant then you should be able to update to the trunking system. FCESA and FCFCA are in support of the upgrade.
Motion: DLutz, D Wadell FCEMSC support move to digital trunking system. Appr.
Looking into selling maps similar to what was given to the departments except it will be done at 2000 ft overview.
SCTTF – no report
Old Business:
Ambulance Membership – January Motion: R Byler, D Lutz to table due to HEPI project. Appr
Map Project – everyone has receive maps and CDs. Wall maps pending completion as time permits GIS to complete them.
Physician Life Save Treatment form legality discussion – discussions continue with EHSF & DOH.
County Training committee – January motion: B Little, R Byler to table due to HEPI project. Appr.
Further discussion regarding meeting merger between FCEMSC and FCFCA and will try to have several times a year. First meeting possibly in late summer.
Franklin County Communications manual has section about Med 11. Reminder to departments to check EMS units. For very large scale incidents you can contact the Federation.
Discussion about getting cross streets from FCDES on dispatch. Will come with GIS upgrades to CAD, unknown time frame on that project.
Discussion about who can file complaints with FCDES. The Chief officer of the department.
New Business: move to old business
Discussion about activities for Franklin County services during next years EMS Week.
Pre-hunting Hunter Safety day.
FFA farm mapping – FFA and emergency responders go out and map farms. A laminated map is placed at each farm to assist emergency responders. May help recruit members.
