As of this time the training calendar is being put together.
The National Fire Academy's INCIDENT SAFETY OFFICER is the last weekend in January.
In the spring the Fire Chief from Pocono International Speedway and the Assistant Fire Chief from West Point Miltary Academy are coming to Waynesboro to teach RIT on Friday evening and FIREFIGHTER SAVING YOUR OWN the rest of that weekend.
I'm still waiting for Dana Baker to get back to me about the Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Operations and Tech. classes.
What training do you want to see?

I know Waynesboro had an EVOC class a couple of years ago, how about setting up another EVOC class
and hows the Rescue Tech. classes comming along?

As of right now the following is planned for 2005:
Jan 8-15-22 Haz-Mat Operations (24 hrs) - WBO EMS
March 18 RIT ( 3 hours)
March 19-20 Firefighter Saving Your own
April ? Air Crash Rescue for Structural Firefighter
June-July ? Vehicle Rescue Tech
Oct TBA Haz-Mat Operations Refresher
I'm still awaiting instructors to get back to me about dates and to sign the contracts.
If anyone wants to host a vehicle rescue tech course or a Fire Officer 1 & 2. I teach both

Does anyone know if the junior firefighter progam could possibally be re-opened. I have some friends that would like to be a junior but they dont want to go to Greencastle or Blue Ridge because of the travel. If anyone could help me out on that I would apprecaite it.

yes, we are currently in the process of organizing one. there are a couple of senior members that showed interest in the subject and there will be a meeting march 7th on setting up a Junior program.  |
