1. Reauthorization of the Volunteer Fire Grant
a. Two year cycle
b. Cost escalator tied to gaming revenue
2. Sprinklers Keep Sprinkler in the code
a. Tax Break for Home Buyers
b. Study Commission on Cost Benefit
3. Cancer Presumption HB 1231
4. Background Checks
a. all new firefighters
b. done by police authority having jurisdiction national search
c. no cost to fire department
5. Tax Breaks for Volunteers – Local HB 250, SB 597 – State SB 775Act 84 Reform Training Issues Funding/Relief/.5% tax on fire insurance
6. Career Grants – SB 649, HB 1505/ Fireworks Tax – SB 775
