Maybe someone can help me out here... I am a bit confused. I know an article had been posted saying there were talks about PA allowing EMT-I's to operate. Is that something that has gone through? Or does each EMS council have different guidelines? I only ask these questions because I saw a job posting for a location in PA that is hiring for EMT-I's (although they are not in EHS Federation, so I that is why I wondered if each council is different) and it confused me.
Thanks

The job posting for EMT-I's in PA is interesting. EMT-I's currently are not permitted to practice in Pennyslvania. They're is however proposed changes to the EMS Act that are supposed to allow for an intermediate provider but from what I know now itz not to the extent of an EMT-I's scope. But that is down the road if it makes it to the final stage.
I also heard rumor that PA is going to have a pilot program for basics using CPAP. I heard itz not around this part but that is exciting news if in fact true.
