I was told by a MMP&W member that there was an incident with a picture and something that involved an off duty law enforcement individual and ETOH and a vehicle. Thats all I know and it is as stated by a member of the department. The bad part of all this is if these supposed things happened it is the fire department that takes the public hit and the black eye.

Actually the banquet was really nice. My steak was done exactly the way I like it. The fellowship at our end of the table was great!
It has been a year since Sue's little, "episode" and I was looking forwarding to visiting with the folks from the two ambulance crews who showed up at the house at 0130 in the morning on Jan 20th of last year to help and thank them. I will always be grateful to them and shall never forget their first rate performance and professionalism.
Our visit was cut somewhat short as Sue could not tolerate the cigarette smoke and at the end and she bade a hasty retreat to the car. I don't believe that the smoke eaters were working. I really missed getting a chance to talk with Dusty and Mark. They needed to be thanked for their help and support at Saint Thomas.
Ken North had a good power point presentation about the new Fire Training Center. I thought his delivery was very nicely done.
Sue McCracken had a computer audio/video presentation of material photographed during the preceding year.
On behalf of Medic 2, I would like to thank Jon Bender and his EMS team for the Chief's Award presented to Medic 2. Thanks also to Cathy Kimmel for being a fine resource for these wonderful folks!
I did not see Nick and everything was just fine when we left.

Bill's right.
The banquet was excellent. Food was great, Sue's slide show was extremely well done, and Kenny presented a thorough history of the training center.
As for the other stuff, well I guess we'll just have to be more discerning of our guest list next year.

That has got to be the most insightful response in the history of this board. My hat is off to you. Like I said above the downfall to this is that you guys take the hit and not the malefactors (I learned that word from my brother Bill) who acted up.

Thank you. Malefactor is, in fact, an extremely sagacious choice of vocabulary. Well done.

Very perspicacious, which describes Les. In fact, he doesn't miss anything! He has also been without a cigarette for over a month now. Fortitude is what it's all about.
Oh, and yes I did read the paper today and frankly, it really doesn't matter where the location, you will find a degree of stupid behavior virtually anywhere you travel these days.
And me? As I said, I had a good time albeit somewhat smoky and nothing is going to change that and the great interaction with the folks that I was privileged to have the opportunity to spend the time with.
