Cause of Death: After attending an EMT class involving strenuous activities held at the station, Firefighter Martin woke his wife the next morning gasping for breath. Firefighter Martin died at the hospital due to heart complications.
Wake Arrangements: The visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Wasburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rutherford County Firefighter's Honor Guard will serve at both the funeral and visitation hours.
Funeral Arrangements: Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Burial will follow in the Piney Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial Fund Contact and Address: The family requests that memorials be made to the Bostic Fire Department; P.O. Box 158, Bostic, NC 28018; or Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 397 Mt.
