Shively Motors files suit against Fayetteville association
CHAMBERSBURG, April 21 -- A local car dealer has filed a performance lawsuit against Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department's relief association, claiming the organization contracted for a 2007 Dodge Nitro suburban utility vehicle then refused to accept delivery or pay for it. The SUV was to be used as a medic unit, according to paperwork filed with the suit.
The suit by Shivley Motors of Chambersburg claims the department picked the vehicle up on March 27, then returned it the next day. Detail as to the reason for the return were not available this morning.
FVFD Relief Association has not yet filed a reply to the suit in Franklin County Court but has until May 6 to do so. The case has been assigned to Judge Richard J. Walsh.

65 posts on the one article and 55 on the other article , Can't believe that such a small thing has escalated into such a big story and has generated so many negative comments. Not the "public relations" that the volunteer fire departments in the area need!
